Step 1
Get a small bowl for your warm milk. Stir in the yeast and a little sugar. Let it bubble for a few minutes.
Step 2
Put the flour and sugar in the mixer. Add the egg and the yeast mixture. Turn the mixer on to a low setting.
Step 3
Add the soft butter and the salt. Knead the dough for ten full minutes. It should look very smooth and shiny.
Step 4
Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover it with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm place.
Step 5
Wait for the dough to double in size. This usually takes about one hour. Do not rush this important growing step.
Step 6
Punch the dough to release the air. Divide it into ten equal small pieces. Roll them into very smooth round balls.
Step 7
Place the balls on a parchment sheet. Let them rise for thirty more minutes. They will look puffy and very light.
Step 8
Heat your vegetable oil in the pot. Reach a temperature of 340 degrees Fahrenheit. Carefully drop a few balls into oil.
Step 9
Fry each side for two minutes only. They should look light golden brown. Remove them and let them cool completely.
Step 10
Pour cold heavy cream into a bowl. Add the powdered sugar to the cream. Whisk it until it is very thick.
Step 11
Cut a deep slit in each donut. Do not cut all the way through. Use your piping bag to fill them.
Step 12
Squeeze the cream until it peaks out. Dust the tops with extra powdered sugar. Your delicious donuts are now ready.
