Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Shot Glasses
  • Small Plates
  • Measuring Jigger
  • Knife and Board

Ingredients

  • 1.5 ounces Silver Tequila
  • 1 ounce Watermelon Pucker
  • 0.5 ounce Fresh Lime Juice
  • 3 drops Hot Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Tajin Seasoning
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes
  • 2 small Watermelon Wedges

Instructions

Prepare the Rims

  1. Start by taking two small plates. Put lime juice on the first plate. Put Tajin salt on the second plate. Dip the shot glass into the juice. Then dip it into the Tajin salt. Make sure the rim is fully coated. Set the glasses aside for a moment.

Fill the Shaker

  1. Grab your cocktail shaker. Fill it halfway with fresh ice. This keeps the drink from getting watery.

Add the Ingredients

  1. Pour the tequila into the shaker. Add the watermelon liqueur next. Squeeze in some fresh lime juice. This is how to make Mexican Candy Shot. The smell will be very sweet.

Add the Spice

  1. Add a few drops of hot sauce. Do not add too much at first. You can always add more later. The spice is very important for this drink.

Shake the Mix

  1. Put the lid on the shaker tightly. Shake it hard for ten seconds. You want the shaker to feel very cold. This mixes the sugar and spice together.

Strain and Pour

  1. Remove the small cap from the shaker. Pour the liquid into your rimmed glasses. Do not let the ice fall out. Fill them almost to the top.

Add the Garnish

  1. Cut a small piece of watermelon. Place it on the edge of the glass. Your Mexican Candy Shot Recipe is now finished. Serve it to your friends immediately.
